It is the biggest wrestling television series of all time and now we are in for a major change of pace as the show is moving to Netflix next week. That is going to have people thinking about the show’s history and WWE certainly got in on that idea.

This week’s Monday Night Raw marked the last edition on cable television, with the first episode airing on January 11, 1993. WWE presented a montage of the show’s history on this week’s episode, featuring a look back at some of the show’s greatest moments. The montage included various wrestlers who are still active today in other wrestling promotions around the world.

Opinion: There is something special about looking back at a show with this much history. The show has been around for over thirty years and some of the most important moments of that time have taken place on this one series. WWE knows how to look back at its own history so well and that was on display here, with the montage showing quite a few of those important moments all at once.
