Now a consultant for TNT Sports, Wayne Rooney followed the meeting of his two former clubs yesterday, between Manchester United and Everton. The top scorer in the history of the Red Devils (253 goals) took advantage of a discussion with Rio Ferdinand to discuss the case of Marcus Rashford (26 years old), who is going through a difficult season (seven goals and three assists in 27 games ). Wayne Rooney believes that the English striker can become a star for MU, and overtake him in the team’s scoring rankings (130 for Rashford, 253 for Rooney), but does not have a particular affection for his counterpart.

“Sympathy for Rashford? Not really, to be honest. He is in a privileged position as he plays for Man United.Wayne Rooney first responded. “He’s the only player I believe can beat my goals record. I hope he succeeds, but he must show consistency. He is not in his best season, so he needs to get back into shape and become a leader. I don’t think he’s that type of player, a leader. His body language isn’t always the best.”he explained, before talking about his future. “Maybe he needs to change clubs. I hope the introduction of Ineos will help him become a one-club man.. Rashford’s decision remains to be seen.
