His exploits with the United young teams have previously led to parallels with his illustrious father.
Kai claimed to have scored 56 goals and provided 28 assists in the 2021–22 campaign last year, including four goals against Liverpool and one goal in a 2-0 victory against Manchester City in the under-13 National Cup North Final.
His most recent performance against Leeds indicates he has a promising future. Football fans will be reminded of his legendary old man by this sort of performance.
At the age of sixteen, Rooney made his Everton debut by smashing home a 30-yard piledriver in a thrilling victory over Arsenal. He made his Champions League debut against Galatasaray with a stunning hat-trick after joining Manchester United in 2004.
If his son Kai can achieve anything close to what Rooney achieved, he is going to have a stellar career.
Rooney Sr tops the list of all-time goal-scorers for Manchester United, having scored 253 times in 559 appearances for the club.
