Real Madrid have had a difficult season so far and Ancelotti could pay the price.

A season that looked to be getting even tougher when Real fell 2-0 down to Borussia Dortmund at halftime of their Champions League match on Tuesday. However, the madridistas managed to come back in spectacular fashion, scoring five goals in the second half to secure a 5-2 victory.

Due to these difficulties, Carlo Ancelotti has been under significant pressure.

The coach’s supportive locker room

He was at the Santiago Bernabeu again on Tuesday, but his players were determined to fight in his honor. According to Marca, cries of “ we can’t let the coach down” were heard in the Real Madrid locker room.

There is no doubt that Ancelotti is a very popular figure within his team. The Whites have not had everything right in these first weeks of the season, but Real will be hoping that the second half performance against Dortmund can prove to be a turning point – that could be seen this weekend when Barcelona will come to town for the first Clasico of the campaign.
