Barcelona look all set for a crucial Champions League encounter against Paris Saint-Germain next week, which will serve as the first of the two-legged quarterfinals.

There is much excitement and optimism over Barça’s chances, especially keeping in mind the club’s recent form coupled with PSG’s injury woes.

In a recent interview (h/t Cadena SER), Barcelona’s coordinator Bojan Krkic doubled down on these factors and sounded just as optimistic about the club’s chances of beating PSG next week.

Bojan on PSG vs Barcelona

“I think we will win in Paris,” Bojan said profoundly. “PSG is a great team, but we arrive at a good time. I trust that the team will have their chances and we will be in the semi-finals.”

Barcelona are indeed coming into this game on the back of a brilliant run in La Liga. The club have secured wins in five of their last six league matches. They have also retained clean sheets in each of their last four league games.

While containing a star-studded PSG attack might be a different task altogether, Barcelona back their recent form and renewed confidence within the group.

Bojan on Xavi

Xavi Hernandez has had a great role to play in infusing that newfound confidence within the Barcelona dressing room.

Ever since the announcement of his departure, Barcelona have stepped up and are looking quite menacing at the moment.

Talking about Xavi’s role and the hard work he puts in, Bojan said, “Xavi is giving everything and more, but the coach’s world is not easy, it is an ungrateful world.”

Barcelona take on PSG next week, on April 10, away at Parc des Princes, before hosting them at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on April 16 for the second leg.
