‘Wednesday’ Adds Steve Buscemi To Season 2 Cast

We’ll be seeing a new face in Season 2 of Netflix‘s Wednesday. Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of the Jenna Ortega-led series in an undisclosed role, sources confirm to Deadline.

The coming-of-age comedy is from Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed/EPed by Tim Burton. Other EPs are Steve Stark (Toluca Pictures),  Andrew Mittman (1.21 Entertainment), Kevin Miserocchi (Tee and Charles Addams Foundation), Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman (Glickmania), Gail Berman, Tommy Harper, and Kevin Lafferty.

Buscemi most recently directed indie drama The Listener starring Tessa Thompson. He co-starred for four seasons opposite Daniel Radcliffe in the TBS anthology comedy series Miracle Workers. He starred in the HBO drama, Boardwalk Empire, which earned him a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Emmy nominations. He was also nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Emmy for his role as Tony Blundetto in season five of The Sopranos and was nominated for Guest Actor Emmy nominations for his appearances on NBC’s 30 Rock and IFC’s Portlandia.
