Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka is among the right-backs West Ham are interested in signing this summer, according to reports.

West Ham are in the market for a right-sided defender following the sale of Ben Johnson to newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Sky Sports report that their shortlist features the likes of Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters and Wan-Bissaka, who has long been linked with leaving Old Trafford.

The Englishman is now in the final year of his contract and while the Red Devils are not actively looking to sell him, there have been no talks over extending his deal.

With that in mind, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co. will weigh up their options which could see the 26-year-old move on after five years with the club.

Wan-Bissaka joined United from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £50million in 2019, following an outstanding breakthrough season with the Eagles.

He’s been a solid if not unspectacular player since, who has thrived defensively but struggled to make an impact up the other end of the pitch.

As such, Diogo Dalot is ahead of him in the pecking order though he remains a useful player for Erik ten Hag, making 30 appearances last season, filling in as a left-back at times because of United’s injury crisis.

To date, he has made 190 appearances for United, winning an FA Cup and League Cup, as well as reaching another FA Cup and Europa League final.

Previous reports have suggested that Wan-Bissaka has already played his last game for the club and he was one of a dozen players on the chopping block as part of Ratcliffe’s overhaul.

He is one of 11 United players whose contracts expire next summer, including Christian Eriksen, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood.
