According to the Daily Mirror, the Hammers will be offered the chance to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja in the upcoming transfer window.

The need for a new striker at the London Stadium is evident as Michail Antonio faced fitness issues and Jarrod Bowen had to lead the line for them last season.

The 22-year-old played for Fulham on loan for the second half of the season and considering his lack of playing time, Fulham are unlikely to pursue a permanent move.

The Blues are looking to sell players surplus to requirements at the club in order to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Along with a few other players, Broja is likely to be shown the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

For the Cottagers, Broja had a difficult season. In 81 minutes of playing time throughout his eight Premier League appearances, he managed just one assist.

It feels like there is no future for the striker at Chelsea, who are looking to sign a new attacker in the summer.

Chelsea are expected to sell striker Armando Broja.

With the presence of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku already at the club, it is difficult to see Broja get playing time at Stamford Bridge next season.

The young striker has shown flashes of brilliance but after coming back from serious injury issues, he has to prove himself at the top level.

West Ham United are ready to support new manager Julen Lopetegui in the transfer window ahead of next season.

West Ham should look for other options

The Hammers are expected to sign a striker, defender and a midfielder depending on the departures.

Investing in the Chelsea striker would prove to be a risk though, as he has not yet managed to consistently perform at the top level.

West Ham would be better off looking for a striker in the European market who has proven to be a consistent goal scorer and would most likely cost less than the Chelsea attacker.
