West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Sporting CP winger Pedro Goncalves.
A report from HITC claims that the Hammers are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old winger ahead of a potential summer move and it remains to be seen whether they can secure an agreement with the Portuguese club.
There is no doubt that West Ham need more quality in the final third and Goncalves will add goals and creativity to the side. Naturally a left-sided winger, the 25-year-old is versatile enough to operate on either flank. He can slot into the central attacking midfield role as well.
Pedro Goncalves will be snapped up by a big club if he continues to perform like this.
Pedro Goncalves would be a coup for West Ham
Goncalves has been in impressive form this season scoring 15 goals across all competitions. He has 14 assists to his name as well.
There is no doubt that he has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League and he could transform West Ham going forward. The Hammers already have two quality attackers in Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus. Signing Goncalves could complete their attacking trio for the foreseeable future.
West Ham will be hoping to compete in European football consistently and they need to plug the gaps in their squad in order to do well. Signing a quality attacker should be a top priority for them. Someone like Goncalves, who can chip in with goals and assists consistently would be the ideal fit for them.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past as well and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers can get the deal done.
