The football observatory (CIES) carried out a study this week to determine the value of each of the French elite squads.
The International Center for the Study of Sports (CIES) devoted its weekly publication to the value of the different squads of the clubs that make up Ligue 1. Unsurprisingly, PSG of course crushes the competition, with a group estimated at more than one 1,088 million euros – an average of 30.2 million euros per player.
According to this study, no less than 10 French clubs appear in the European Top 100. AS Monaco being the first runner-up to the PSH labeled L1, with an overall valuation of its talents at 425 million euros. Followed by Stade Rennais, Losc and OM, respectively credited to the tune of 321, 310 and 309 million euros for their entire workforce.
Across the continent, no surprise here either, Real Madrid reigns supreme, with 1.728 billion in collective value. Manchester City (1.471 billion euros) and Chelsea (1.388 billion euros) complete this podium dedicated to the European elite – PSG ranking seventh in this hierarchy, ahead of Manchester United (989 million euros) but behind Arsenal (1.225 billion euros), Barça (1.124 billion euros) and Liverpool (1.099 billion euros).
