Kylian Mbappé’s new Madrid adventure has just begun and it is already starting to be very lively. Since his formalization at Real Madrid, the 25-year-old striker has had time to set the press on fire after his media appearance on Tuesday. Present at the Blues press conference, he took the opportunity to look back on his Parisian adventure and his season. “When I know what I had to go through and endure, it’s the best season of my career”, he said in particular, then discussing in more detail his period in the Parisian loft. Strong words which did not fail to make PSG react in the process, which thus settled scores with its former player.
Enough to illustrate a little more the very tense relations between the Parisian management and Kylian Mbappé. It is ultimately a continuation of what we have observed in recent months. More recently, KM7 had deliberately forgotten to thank Nasser al-Khelaifi in its farewell video to PSG. A way for him to send a message. And this Wednesday, The Parisian reveals the reasons for the complicated relations between the two parties. In addition to being sidelined from the squad last summer, Kylian Mbappé has not forgiven two things to his former club with whom he played 7 seasons.
Mbappé didn’t like fake news
The French daily reveals that the player and his entourage felt harassed by the spread of numerous fake news from PSG. The first concerns that of the summer of 2023. Those close to Nasser Al-Khelaifi had leaked information explaining that the Parisian recruits had been shocked and outraged by Kylian Mbappé’s interview with France Football. In the latter, he notably declared:“I don’t know what PSG is missing (to win the Champions League), it’s not really a question for me. We did what we could, period. You have to talk to the people who make the team, who organize the squad, who build this club. I just try to do my job as best as possible.” In the process, RMC Sport had declared that part of the Parisian locker room, including two recruits, had not appreciated these comments at all and had even sent a message to NAK to tell him that it was a lack of respect. In fact, no recruit had read this interview.
Another fake news also did a lot of harm to Kylian Mbappé. Last summer, PSG leaked information explaining that a free departure of Kylian Mbappé would force the capital club to put in place a social plan. The losses on a sale of the player would have obviously pushed PSG to dismiss several members of the club. This method of blackmail by taking feelings did not please Kylian Mbappé at all, who was very angry with his club according to The Parisian who explains that he had the feeling of being described as a monster at odds with his partners and guilty of condemning the club’s employees. This therefore seems to explain his recent comments at a press conference.
