The Carabao Cup will reach its climax next month as teams battle it out for English football's first major trophy of the season.

The competition gives sides from all four tiers the chance to claim the first available silverware of the 2023/24 campaign.

Manchester United are the current holders of the trophy after beating Newcastle 2-0 in February.

But Erik ten Hag's side are out after being beaten 3-0 at home by Newcastle in the fourth round.

This year's edition is coming towards the business end as we reach the semi-final stage and one team has booked a spot at Wembley.

Chelsea came from 1-0 down in the first leg to beat Middlesbrough 6-2 on aggregate thanks to a rampant performance.

The Blues will take on Liverpool or Fulham in the final.

When is the Carabao Cup final?

The 2023/24 Carabao Cup final will be played on Sunday, February 25.

It will be held at Wembley Stadium with the kick-off time yet to be confirmed, although last season's final began at 4:30pm.
