If his relationship with Adriana Karembeu remained in everyone’s memory, Christian Karembeu rebuilt his life with a ski champion.

Linda Evangelista, Elsa, Agathe de la Fontaine or Claire Keim: many stars have been in a relationship with a 1998 world champion. However, the most emblematic couple was certainly the one formed by Christian and Adriana Karembeu. “Footballers’ wives didn’t exist before, I think I was the first,” explained the Slovak model in Femme Actuelle, confiding that she had met the French midfielder at the airport in 1996, during a Milan-Paris flight. “I didn’t know who it was at all, it wasn’t calculated at all,” clarified the one who was then called Adriana Sklenarikova.

Their story lasted 15 years, including 13 years of marriage, before the couple separated in 2011. The former Madrilenian quickly found love again, this time on the arm of an accomplished sportswoman. Christian Karembeu now shares his life with Jackie Chamoun, a Lebanese ski champion, who participated in the world championships in 2009 and 2013 and the Winter Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014.

Parents of two little girls

Jackie Chamoun also caused a scandal in Sochi when old photos of a topless shoot for an Austrian calendar resurfaced. If she was able to count on a wave of international support, she was able to apologize even though the Lebanese authorities had contacted the Olympic committee in order to take measures to “protect Lebanon’s reputation”.

Despite their 21 year age difference (53 years for Christian Karembeu and 32 for Jackie Chamoun), the couple found perfect love and after a marriage in 2017, they welcomed two little girls, Gaïa and Alessia, born in 2017 and 2020. The whole family lives in Greece, where Christian Karembeu has served as special advisor to the president of Olympiakos for 10 years.
