Who is Geoffrey Ogunlesi? Meet Jennifer Meyer’s new fiancé

Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, is engaged to Geoffrey Ogunlesi.

The famed jewelry designer, who has two kids with the “Spider-Man” star, announced that Ogunlesi had proposed by posting engagement photos in August 2024.

The couple have been romantically linked since summer 2023 and made their red carpet debut that November.

He is the son of a billionaire

Ogunlesi is the son of Nigerian billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi, a lawyer and investment banker who co-founded the private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners, which owns London Gatwick Airport.

Adebayo has a net worth of $1.7 billion, Forbes reported in September 2024.

He sold his firm to BlackRock for $12.5 billion in January 2024 and joined the investment giant as part of the acquisition.

He is a CEO

Just like his father, Geoffrey runs his own successful company as the chief executive officer and founder of the Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and music management company based in Hollywood.

The Ogunlesi Group represents several notable musicians across different genres, including rapper Young Thug, “MJ the Musical” star Myles Frost and more.

Geoffrey founded the company in January 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He is a music industry titan

Geoffrey worked in the music industry for years before creating his own entertainment agency.

The music exec did A&R for 300 Entertainment from January 2014 to October 2022.

He previously worked as an A&R consultant at Warner Music Group from January 2013 to January 2014, per his LinkedIn.

He attended Amherst College

He planned a surprise proposal for Meyer

Despite being a jewelry designer, Meyer confirmed that Geoffrey was the one behind her stunning engagement ring.

She shared photos of the ring, which featured a massive emerald-cut diamond flanked by two trapezoid baguette diamonds on a gold band, on Instagram in August 2024.

A fan asked for details about the ring and proposal, to which Meyer replied, “It was alllll him! Total surprise.”
