Nearly a year after making his Saturday Night Live debut, comedian Nate Bargatze is officially a returning host! On Saturday (October 5), the 45-year-old comedian, described as “the nicest man in standup,” will deliver his second opening monologue on the iconic stage. While SNL hosts are often some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Nate is arguably better known in the comedy world. If you’re not as familiar with him, we pulled together some handy information. According to his website, he has a reputation for being “the nicest man in stand-up.” His sense of humor has been described as family friendly, and it’s landed him a variety of stand-up specials on Netflix and Prime Video. In 2023, his most recent comedy special Hello World premiered on the latter streaming platform.. If you haven’t seen him there, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen a couple of his videos on TikTok, where he has amassed more than 1.4 million followers. He also has a book arriving in early 2025! While on Late Night With Seth Meyers earlier this week, Nate noted that he was excited to return to SNL. He added that he would be able to “take it in more now a little bit” the second time around. Tonight’s episode is the second from the show’s 50th season.
