Who is the Grand Architect of the Universe?


 

There cannot be the Grand Architect of the Universe as God. There is only one GOD, and He is GOD. You will soon find out.

I decided to do some background checks after my attention was drawn to Freemasonry issues on television and social media. What I found out will amaze you. I caution every Christian to be very careful!

I write specifically to address comments made by Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin on Channel One TV during an interview with Bernard Avle, and also, during the vetting session of the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo. 

Can we please stop deceiving ourselves for once? What is Grand Architect of the Universe? And who is the Grand Architect of the Universe? It amuses me how some claimed Christians arebeing brain washed by some practices they have assumed to believe. 

Freemasonry, the teachings and practices of the fraternal (men only) order of Free and Accepted Masons, the largest worldwide secret society, and an oath bound society. They are often devoted to fellowship, moral discipline, and mutual assistance, that conceals some rituals, customs, or activities from the public (Britannica). 

Masonry views its mission in life as helping to bring the beliefs of all men into harmony. A harmony based on primarily on Masonic teachings. 

What I want you to know first of all is that, some say freemasonry is a club or one of those usual societies. This is not accurate and cannot be true. Clubs like Wildlife and Green Earth or Football/ Debating/ Games Clubs do not swear allegiance to a ‘god’ or any enlightenment. 

Once spirituality is involved, the club metamorphosis into a religion. This is just to remind you that when joining, you are not just joining a usual club or society but a religious sect with secret rites and initiations. 

The irony is that the identity of this ‘god’ is unknown. They call it the supreme being (The Grand Architect of the Universe) and it is not the one you know from African Traditional Religion (with smaller gods) or the monotheistic god of Islam nor the Trinitarian God of Christianity. 

Again, which of the gods in Hinduism is this Grand Architect; is it Brahma known as the Creator, Vishnu (the Preserver), or Shiva (the Destroyer)? Or even their feminine counterparts; Saraswati (wife of Brahma), Lakshmi (wife of Vishnu), or Parvati (wife of Shiva)?

When you ask a Freemasonry, especially those at the lower levels, who this Being (Grand Architect of the Universe) is or to describe him, they cannot. However, to them, this being is more enlightened compared to all others. 

Secondly, there are three degrees (and rites of initiation) in the Blue Lodge (BL). In the BL there is the Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason degree. The last is the Master Mason. This degree indicates that the individual has mastered the use of the tools and symbols of a symbolic Mason, and can now teach others. 

After the BL you can decide to proceed higher in masonry by joining other Lodges; either by the York Rite (YR) or Scottish Rite (SR) and either have their respective initiations. 

Continuing, the YR are in chapters from Mark Master and ends with Order of Knights Templar Commandery. Whilst the SR starts from Secret Master (that is, Level or degree 4 after Master Mason in BL) and ends with the 33-degree Mason which is Active or Honorary. 

Furthermore, “Freemasonry teaches that all non-Masons (including Christians) are living in spiritual darkness. The ritual of Masonry for the First Degree of Entered Apprentice (the first initiation for a new member) teaches the candidate that he has long been in darkness, and now seeks to be brought to light. The Lodge teaches that only true Masons are enlightened and live in the Truth,” as said by John Ankerberg and John Weldon

In contrast, this is not consistent with Christianity. It directly contradicts Jesus. Christians rather have the divine light, Jesus Christ, who shines in darkness, and the darkness has never comprehended as according to John 1:5. 

In furtherance, in the 13th Degree of the SR oath reads, “I furthermore promise and swear to use every means in my power to contribute with all my might to the propagation of liberal ideas where so ever I may be.” Do not be lured that this is just a club. 

It may interest you to know that, religious and political discussions are abhorred by Masons in the Lodges. Hence, you cannot go into their meetings and profess Jesus Christ. You cannot pray to Jesus nor sing Christian songs in there nor cast out demons even if you see one. 

You cannot also share your faith, read your Bible nor do your Bible studies in there. It is not a club. It is not a mere society. It is a religious sect. 

In addition, Masonry is for only men. That is why it is called a brotherhood or fraternity. They belief in the universal fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man. By this, Masons teaches that all men (Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Mormons, Buddhists, and Christians) regardless of their personal religions views, are the spiritual sons of God. 

This was however, considered, as The Order of the Amaranth was created for both Masons and their spouses, and female relatives. Then, the Social Order of the Beaucean which is limited to wives and widows of Knights Templar was also created. Meaning, females with no male relations in Masonry cannot join. 

And I found this not consistent with the beliefs and practices of Christianity. The faith is opened to everyone male or female, boy or girl, relatives or not, as according to Galatians 3:28. There are no restrictions. You do not need to be a member before your spouses or relatives are allowed. 

It will interest you to know that Freemasonry is a work based salvation. “Not once in the entire rituals of initiation, installation of officers, or funeral ceremonies is it ever stated that personal faith in Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation,” as stated by John Ankerberg and John Weldon. 

Masonry’s second foundational belief is that, reforming personal character and practicing good works will secure God’s favour. This claimed is a fallacy and not Christian. Just do me a favour by reading Romans 5:8. 

I also found out to be true that freemasonry is engaged in the search after “Divine Truth,” and employs symbolism as its method of instruction. The Masonic Lodge clearly teaches that good character and good works of a Mason will earn him a place in the “Celestial Lodge Above”. They claimed, that is heaven. 

Ephesians 2:8-9 explicit exposes this statement. The scripture teaches that SALVATION is by grace through faith and not ourselves. It is a gift of God. It is not by works least no one should boast. Hmmm!

The question that rings on my mind is, how are women saved in freemasonry? How are spouses and relatives and the others who do not have any relations saved?

Masonry also claims that Lodge is the light of the world and that only “its ideals” can save the world from its errors and superstition. 

This statement which has an error itself is error in nature. It contradicts scripture. John 8:12 reads “Again Jesus spoke to them saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 

John 1:4-5 also adds, “In Jesus was life, and the life was, and that life was the light of humanity. The light shines the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” It is clear by this that masonry is competing Jesus for the Messiahship and the role of the Saviour. Something they can never win. 

I found this also; a Grand Master is a title of honour as well as an office in Freemasonry, given to a freemason elected to oversee a Masonic jurisdiction. He presides over a Grand Lodge and has certain rights in the constituent Lodges that form his jurisdiction. In most, but not all cases, the Grand Master is styled “Most Worshipful Grand Master”. 

Interestingly, Freemasons are everywhere in society including the church too. They have dominance in politics and in some religious organisations. They control political power and the elites in society due to their influences and wealth. 

They are in our universities, hospitals, political parties, and government. They are with us, move with us, drive with us, eat with us, work and fellowship with us, but, they are never known unless they make themselves public. That is why they are a secret society. 

Albert Pike affirms by saying, “secrecy is indispensable in a Mason of whatever degree.” Mr. Bill Mankin, a 32nd Degree Mason, admitted on national television that “The authoritative source for Masonry is the Ritual. The Ritual is what happens at the Lodge and what goes on at the Lodge.

These rituals also make Masonry a secret society. Rituals are never done in public as compared to Christian denominations. Atheists even criticises Christians for performing their activities in the public domain. You see, a genuine faith is not afraid of being scrutinised. Freemasonry cannot say same. There are a lot of hidden practices that novices do not even know. 

On the other hand, they do not also accept that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. and that no one comes to the Father except through him (John 14:6). Just as other religions do not. So when such a member is in church, they are there just to associate and not to grow spiritually. 

They may not involve themselves much nor contribute much. The reason is, they swear allegiance to someone they think is much powerful than our Trinitarian God. 

Jesus said in Revelation 3:15-18 that “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” 

Again, he said in Matthew, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Similarly, you cannot be both a Christian and a Freemason. It’s either you are a Christian or a Freemason. And there cannot be the Grand Architect of the Universe as God. There is only one GOD, and He is GOD.
