Popular on-air personality, Nedu Wazobia, has finally addressed the recent controversies surrounding his role on the Honest Bunch podcast.
At a news conference held on Thursday in Lagos, Nedu clarified the circumstances surrounding his departure from the podcast, putting to rest rumors that he was fired.
According to Nedu, he chose to step down from his position on the podcast due to the mounting pressure and controversies that had arisen.
He explained that the constant scrutiny and backlash had taken a toll on him, and he felt it was necessary to prioritize his well-being and reputation.
Nedu’s departure from the Honest Bunch podcast had sparked widespread speculation and debate, with many fans and followers wondering what had led to his exit.
“Rather than engaging in petty fights, I have decided to clear the air by stepping away from the show,” he said.
“My role on the podcast is to make guests feel comfortable while encouraging thought-provoking discussions.
“My job was to ask questions that would spark controversies and debates, which I successfully accomplished.”
The podcast, known for its candid and often provocative discussions, had been a platform for Nedu to share his thoughts and opinions on various topics.
By coming forward and addressing the controversy, Nedu has provided clarity and closure for his fans and the general public.
Nedu also announced that he would no longer be reachable or accessible to the public.
“To be honest, I’m done being nice. My niceness has been taken for granted, and I’ve been abused by people who claim to be my friends.
“I’m tired of being used and taken advantage of.
“I respectfully ask that if you have my number, please delete it. I don’t want to be reachable or accessible anymore.
“I need to take care of myself and prioritize my well-being. The nice part of Nedu is dead and buried. I’m no longer going to be a nice guy; I’m done being nice”.
