The 2021 winner of the Mr Nigeria International pageant, Ajewole Emmanuel has revealed why he took a break from pageantry for humanitarian engagement.
He told Saturday Beats, “I am still very much on the entertainment scene, especially my industry— pageantry and fashion. There is no other thing I find more joy in doing than entertainment. However, the reason I have not been very active is that I needed to focus on the humanitarian aspect of me. I love helping people and putting smiles on their faces. It gives me great joy. I am grateful to my mentor, Sir Anike Hope, who found me worthy of working with him and allowed me to champion major charitable works through his foundation— Holdingcore Empowerment Foundation.
“It is a huge task and I cannot allow anything to distract me, not even my activities. That was why I took the bold step of excusing myself from the spotlight.”
He added that he will return to showbiz soon. “I don’t regret this decision, though it has not been easy. But, we’ve been able to deliver, all thanks to God and my outstanding team. I will return to the entertainment business soon. I have missed my fans and the runways, I can’t wait to reconnect back and give them the best of me.”
