Sheinelle Jones has been noticeably absent from the Today show for several weeks. The 46-year-old journalist co-hosts the third hour of the NBC morning TV show with Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer, and has been with the show since 2014. Her last appearance on the show was on December 18, 2024. Keep reading to find out more… “Hi everybody … I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I’ve been absent from the show,” she posted on Instagram. “I want to share that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter. It’s not lost how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today Show daily, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon.” On the air today, Savannah Guthrie read Sheinelle‘s statement. Craig added, “We all love you and we are so looking forward to having you back.” We’re wishing Sheinelle and her family all the best right now. There is currently another big absence from the Today show.
