WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! Leslie Bibb is part of one of TV’s hottest shows, but she’s not watching it herself. The 51-year-old The White Lotus actress, who plays Kate in the series, spoke out in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal. During the discussion, she spoke about not watching the season finale of Season 3, her character’s politics, and bringing partner and co-star Sam Rockwell with her to Thailand. Keep reading to find out more… On not watching the finale: “I can’t see Aimee Lou [Wood] die. I can’t see Walton [Goggins] die. Seeing Aimee Lou’s eyes last night, I was like, ‘Oh no, that’s too intense. I’ll crack in two.’” On not watching any of the season, and instead getting feedback from partner Sam Rockwell: “’The work is good.’ And if he tells me the work is good—we’re very honest with each other.” On his performance as Frank: “I just think Sam’s one of the best actors we have who’s alive. Everything he does is so inventive and he’s so fearless and I remember when I read that monologue, I was awestruck by it. I just kept reading and rereading it. Then when it came to the last minute, Sam’s schedule freed up, and then Mike was like, ‘Can Sam do it?’ Sam was there for like nine days and did four episodes. I just knew he was the right person, that he was going to be careful with those words. He and Walton are real life friends, so that was an extra bonus in that storytelling.” On her character voting for Trump, her face during that discussion, and her politics becoming a hot topic online: “I think that all-knowing smile came across as really condescending, but I think she just really is like, ‘Please, God. I need something that’s not going to divide us right now.’ The Russians are going to divide us, politics are going to divide us. I had an old friend a long time ago, like when Bush was in office, and the wife was a Democrat and the husband was a Republican. It felt big then, so the Trump of it all feels even more divisive. I remember just watching them and being like, ‘Oh, God, is this going to ruin a night? Can we just go out and eat some chips and guac and have a margarita and not talk about politics?’” Find out what co-star Carrie Coon said about that viral running moment.
