Manchester City vs Manchester United will see its kick-off time change to a unique time once again.

Erik ten Hag will face Pep Guardiola again this season in the Premier League in March with the match set to go ahead on Sunday March 3.

And the kick-off time has been moved to an odd time - going ahead at 3:30pm instead of the normal 4.30pm slot.

It is not the first time that the Manchester derby has gone ahead at this time - and not even the first time this season.

United were thrashed 3-0 earlier this season in October at Old Trafford in a Sunday kick-off which went ahead at 3:30.

A statement was made at the time, which read: "The derby with Manchester City will be staged towards the end of the month, with the Old Trafford encounter being moved to 29 October, kicking off at 3.30pm.

"The fixture, which we won 2-1 last season with Marcus Rashford netting a memorable winner, is to be shown live on Sky Sports in the UK.

"The unusual start time was agreed following consultation between the clubs, the broadcaster and local authorities."

Now, City have released a statement explaining why the kick-off time for the Etihad clash has been 'altered'.

It read: "City’s Premier League game against Manchester United at the Etihad has been altered for live television coverage."

United are in dire need of a change in fortune with the club sitting eighth in the Premier League.

Ten Hag has come under mounting pressure this season, not least after the Manchester derby in a week that also saw United crash out of the Carabao Cup.

With United also out of Europe and a top-four spot looking unlikely, it could be a miserable campaign for the club this season.

City, meanwhile, are looking to retain their Premier League crown and win it for a record-breaking fourth time in a row.

They also remain in the hunt for the FA Cup and Champions League as they look to repeat their treble-winning campaign last season.
