Why my father was trekking under the rain, on a dirty Lagos street – Wizkid spills


 

Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has explained the reason his father, Alhaji Muniru Olatunji Balogun was taking a stroll in a not-so-clean environment.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that a video of Wizkid’s father walking with the help of a stick under the rain in the street of Lagos state had caused a stir on social media as netizens compared the singer’s father with his rival Davido’s billionaire dad, Adedeji Adeleke.

However, an X user again shared the video in mockery of Wizkid’s family financial status.

In response, Wizkid who had been in the news following his controversial tweets against his colleague, Davido clarified that his father was walking towards his Toyota SUV jeep and he was coming from their old hood.

He wrote, “U see his SUV in front right?!! he actually likes going back to our old hood to take walks ! see the old people and bless them with something small. That’s the kind of man that raised me!”
