Why 'The View' Hosts Did Not Wear Halloween Costumes on October 31 Episode

Those who tuned in for the Halloween episode of The View might have been surprised that the hosts weren’t dressed in costume this year.

Daytime talk show hosts often take the opportunity to dress up for the fun-filled holiday.

However, The View hosts – Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin – opted not to dress up.

Deadline reports that if the hosts were to dress up in costume, they would have had to tape the show instead of airing a live show. With the election coming up, the hosts decided to host a live show and forego costumes in order to bring pertinent current information.

They did pre-tape a Halloween segment to air before the episode, which you can watch below.
