Why Timothee Chalamet Made Elle Fanning Cry on the Set of 'A Complete Unknown'

The 26-year-old actress spoke out about her 28-year-old A Complete Unknown co-star, who previously co-starred with her in 2019′s A Rainy Day in New York.

“I’ve known him for a long time…he is so brilliant. There’s no one who could do what he’s done in this part. It was a really special experience,” Elle started to say of Timothée.

When asked about whether it’s true he made her cry on set, she confirmed it and explained what happened.

“Everyone sang live in the film and everyone played their instruments live. It was just seeing his version of Bob Dylan that he was gonna portray, and hearing – it was ‘A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall,’ that’s the first song that I heard him sing – it was really, I don’t know…I was proud of my friend, and he just really moved me,” she sweetly recalled.

“And obviously the music of Bob Dylan is so iconic and emotional in and of itself. But yeah, I’ll never forget that,” she added.
