Why Tom Holland & Zendaya ‘Won't Rush A Wedding’

Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged… And they’re going to stay that way for a while!

As we all continue to collectively swoon over the happy couple’s exciting news after the Dune star debuted her ring at the 2025 Golden Globes, we’re hearing they aren’t in any rush to say “I do.” For now, they’re just enjoying being engaged! Especially because Tom had been planning to pop the question for a long time! On Monday, an insider told People:

“[He’d been] wanting to propose for a while now. He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”

Awww. That’s so sweet. THEY’RE so sweet!

The source continued noted “everyone close to them knew the engagement was happening,” but just not exactly when. We previously reported Tom asked the Challangers star’s father Kazembe Ajamu Coleman for Zendaya’s hand in marriage “months ago,” but it wasn’t until over the Christmas holiday that he officially got down on one knee. So, they’re going to really marinate in their engagement! As they should! Especially because they’re both so busy! The source added:

“They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.”

Well, at least they’ll be working together for the foreseeable future — both in Spider-Man 4 and Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey.

The insider left off:

“Tom’s always had this sweet way of letting the world know that Zendaya is his. Now, it’s official — she really is!”
