The chairman, All Progressives Congress Party (APC) in Kwara Sunday Fagbemi has attributed the victory to the party in Saturday’s local government in the state to the impressive development projects being executed by the administration of Gov. AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq.
Fagbemi also described their victory as “triumph of democracy” and acknowledgement of the trust placed in the APC by the people of Kwara.
The APC Chairman said this while congratulating the 16 newly elected council chairmen and 193 councilors in the state.
The chairman congratulated the officials in statement issued in Ilorin on Sunday.
APC won all the 16 local government chairmanship and councillorship seats in the state in Saturday’s election.
Fagbemi described their victory as “triumph of democracy” and acknowledgement of the trust placed in the APC by the people of Kwara.
Fagbemi attributed the victory to the party to the impressive development projects being executed by the administration of Gov. AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq in the state.
He said with the landslide victory of APC, the governor would show more commitment towards sustained development across the state.
The chairman commended the governor for giving the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC) the needed support to conduct the election.
He encouraged the newly elected chairmen to ensure even development across all communities, stressing the importance of fulfilling their campaign promises.
He also commended all agencies of government involved in the conduct of the election as well as political parties for their peaceful conduct.
Fagbemi lauded APC executives and members across the 193 wards for their contributions towards the party’s victory.
He implored them to carry out their duties with high sense of commitment and in line with the party’s vision and values.
