Afrobeat star David Adeleke popularly know as Davido has warned black Americans desiring to relocate to Africa to desist from the idea.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the ‘Feel’ crooner, during an interview on ‘The Big Homies House’ podcast, expressed scepticism about the growing interest amongst Black Americans wanting to find their roots, citing the current challenges facing the continent, particularly in his home country, Nigeria.
Davido, when asked about black Americans seeking to return to the motherland, the singer responded, “Leave America and go where?”
He stressed the economic difficulties and systemic failure affecting most of African countries has left most continent in a bad state.
Speaking further from experience as someone raised in Nigeria after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, the singer added, “It’s not cool back home…
The economy now is in shambles.”
