‘Wicked’ Stars Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo Received Equal Pay On Universal Blockbuster

“Reports of pay disparity between Cynthia and Ariana are completely false and based on internet fodder. The women received equal pay for their work on Wicked.”

Such is the exclamation from a Universal Pictures spokesperson pouring cold water on rumors that were spurred by a Reddit post claiming that the Wicked stars, Arina Grande and Cynthia Erivo, had a great gap in their paychecks.

Those false reports said that the pop superstar Grande collected $15M for her work on the Jon M. Chu blockbuster which is hitting $180M worldwide running tally, while Erivo received $1M.
