'Wicked' Wins Best Film for National Board of Review Awards - Full Winners List Revealed

The National Board of Review just announced the winners of the 2024 NBR Awards with Wicked winning some of the top awards.

Wicked won both Best Film and Best Director for Jon M. Chu, as well as the NBR Spotlight Award for the “creative collaboration” of stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

Wicked represents the pure magic that movies can bring to audiences. Every detail is beautifully crafted and designed, the actors are all exceptional and the music is second-to-none – together it adds up to a transporting experience like no other. The NBR is proud to honor director Jon M. Chu and his remarkable cinematic vision,” said NBR President Annie Schulhof.

The awards gala will be held on January 7, 2025 in New York City.
