There are different styles of professional wrestling. One of the most popular ones is the high-flying style. Stars such as Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, Darby Allin, and many more have adapted this way of wrestling. But being a high-flyer does come with risks.
One of the top high-flyers in the business is the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay. Recently, Ospreay shared that taking all these risks has resulted in him never being 100% healthy.
While speaking on the Masked Man Show, Will Ospreay mentioned that by performing all these high-risk moves his body is always sore. He also mentioned that his body feels fine but will never feel 100% fit. The Aerial Assassin also appreciated the medical team of AEW.
“The body’s sore but when is it never sore…Everything I do puts [a toll on my body]. For me, I feel fine but I’m never going to be 100%,” Will Ospreay said. [H/T Inside The Ropes]
Ospreay also mentioned that he often tries to adapt to the environment. But at the same time, he does not know if he will ever slow down.
“I find ways of adapting to my environment and adapting to my situations. I don’t really know [if I have a slower gear]…in a weird way motion is the lotion to your body.”
Ospreay lost the International Championship to Konosuke Takeshita at AEW WrestleDream. Catch up on everything that went down at AEW WrestleDream, including Jon Moxley dethroning Bryan Danielson in the main event, here.
