Will Ospreay simply thinks he is better than MJF.

The British star will walk into Wembley Stadium as the hometown hero on Sunday. He faces MJF for the AEW American Championship, in a rematch from their sixty-minute match on AEW Dynamite.

After MJF cheated to beat Ospreay, he discarded the International title for the American Championship. The Aerial Assassin is determined to right that wrong at All In, because he think he is simply better than his American counterpart.

Will Ospreay spoke with the NY Post in the build up to All In. He talked about his opponent for the event, giving numerous compliments to MJF.

However, no matter how good he thought MJF was, Will Ospreay noted that “pure and simple”, he thinks he is better than the AEW American Champion.

“I do somewhat respect Max’s ability.” Will Ospreay said. “He is captivating, he is a showman and charisma just oozes out of him. He is the total package when it comes to looking for a wrestling star. I just think I’m better. That’s the pure and simple of it.”

Will Ospreay: AEW Allowed Me To Have A Family Life

Will Ospreay continued. He spoke about choosing to sign for AEW over WWE, revealing he “had to do this for my misses”.

He currently lives with his partner and wrestler Alex Windsor in the United Kingdom, along with his step-son. Ospreay spends Tuesday to Thursday in the US with AEW, getting to spend more time at home with his family than would be possible, had he signed with the WWE.

“I really had to do this for my missus, for my son because they need me.” Will Ospreay said. “There is no disrespect toward them [WWE] at all. I admire anyone who can do it. After everything, I don’t want to move her anywhere I want her to feel safe and I want her to feel looked after.”

“That’s so rare to find in wrestling. You hear all the stories in wrestling that all the guys used to be on the road having not seen their kids and not having an impact or influence in their life and I get to have that.”
