Will Ospreay is happy fans are honoring him with tattoos.
The Englishman has quickly become a huge star in AEW since starting full-time with the company in Match this year. He became a fan-favorite, getting huge pops wherever he goes and putting on incredible matches on a weekly basis.
The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion even picked up gold early in his run. Will Ospreay beat Roderick Strong at AEW Double or Nothing to become the AEW International Champion, and now sets his sights on Swerve Strickland‘s AEW Championship at Forbidden Door.
However, before that, he has time to admire some fan’s works of art online.
Twitter user @JessChizuru posted a photo of her new arm tattoo. It showed Will Ospreay’s hands doing his “United Empire” symbol, showcasing the fan’s support for the Aerial Assassin.
She posted this with the caption, “My new tattoo! CROWNS UP for life! Tattoo design based on Will Ospreay’s hands”.
She tagged numerous wrestlers in the post who were part of the “United Empire” stable, including Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher and Jeff Cobb. They were all part of the iconic group that helped elevate Ospreay to the top of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Ospresay was the first to respond to the Tweet, sounding thrilled at somebody honoring him in ink.
He simply posted “Yeah!!!!”, showing his enthusiasm for the tattoo. Here’s hoping he can do Jess one better by becoming the AEW Champion at Forbidden Door.
