WrestleZone recently spoke with Will Ospreay, who picked a few matches from his NJPW run that were true highlights of his run there.
“In Japan wise, you’ve got two [to check out]. You’ve got the me and Kenny Omega match from Wrestle Kingdom 17. If you look at that, or you look at the end of the year where I faced Shota Umino [at NJPW Power Struggle], who is like the next guy for New Japan,” Ospreay explained.
“[Shota is] the guy that they’re probably going to put a lot of their stock behind,” he pointed out. “Shota, for me, in that match, I think is a perfect example of what I would show if you were trying to explain who Will Ospreay was.”
