Will Ospreay wants to run it back with Bryan Danielson when AEW returns to Wembley Stadium.

Will Ospreay defeated Bryan Danielson in a dream match at AEW Dynasty. AEW All In is rapidly approaching, and Ospreay has his sights set on a rematch.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Will Ospreay said that he wanted to face Bryan Danielson at AEW All In.

“I would love to do Bryan Danielson again, just because he is in the Owen Hart Cup,” Will Ospreay said. “It feels right. But there’s one thing that needs to happen this time around, though. He’s got to come out to ‘Final Countdown’. Just because I love that moments I had with him at Dynasty. It was just a strange moment where I’m looking at my hero, but I was like, something was missing. My dad, for one of my birthdays, bought me and my backyard wrestling friends to go see All Star Wrestling, which, it’s very camp show, just for the families. Like the wrestler is a postman there, he’s for a big, fat belly. I’m sitting there like, this is not it. We don’t wanna disrespect my dad, would never do that, right.

“But we’re sitting there, and never forget it, eight-man tag, and they normally do the English guys versus the foreigners. I cannot remember for the life of me who the other two were, but one of the invading foreigners was Rene Dupree, which I was like, what are you doing here? And then out of nowhere comes Bryan Danielson waving a pirate flag, wearing bright blue baggy pants. I was like, ‘What are you doing here?’ [Laughs] We were losing our minds. We just couldn’t believe he was here.”

Will Ospreay On Bryan Danielson Inspiring Him

Will Ospreay continued by explaining how Bryan Danielson had inspired him. He noted that Danielson showed him how he could achieve what he had thought was impossible.

“It was such a crazy experience, man,” Will Ospreay said. “So ever since then, I was like, ‘Oh, you’re achievable. You’re right here, like the things that we all aspire to be, like I never really thought I could be a professional wrestler, just because it would have to mean living over in America, right? Just for me, it was this moment of, ‘Oh, this is achievable. If he’s here, I can go anywhere.’

“If I just applied myself, and I think honestly it’s a strange catalyst to be like, oh, if I put my ass into this, I can do it.”

Ospreay will defend the AEW International Championship against Daniel Garcia on the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
