William Regal interacted with his son at NXT Roadblock.
On the March 5 “Roadblock” edition of NXT, NXT Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey and the No Quarter Catch Crew came to the ring. Dempsey commented on winning the cup and noted that it meant a lot to him. Damon Kemp stated that the Catch Clause meant that each one of them could defend the Heritage Cup.
Former NXT General Manager William Regal, Dempsey’s father, then came to the ring and noted that the Heritage Cup meant the world to him as it represented outstanding competitors from the British and European wrestling scenes.
He told Dempsey he hoped he would defend it with the honor and integrity it deserved. Dempsey replied by saying he would defend it better than he ever could.
Regal previously returned to NXT on the January 23 episode. He was released in January 2022, and he signed with AEW. Regal returned to WWE in January 2023, but he could not appear on television for a year, per the terms of his AEW exit.
