Willow Nightingale has quickly rebounded from losing the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament by capturing the CMLL Women’s World Title.

The championship was previously held by Stephanie Vaquer who was stripped of her CMLL Women’s World Championship earlier this week. It was revealed hours later this was due to her departing the company to sign with WWE. Based on Shawn Michaels’ tweet earlier this week it appears she will debut on television on the NXT brand.

Despite the unfortunate situation, CMLL was quick to make a three-way match for this evening’s FantasticaMania event. A match was quickly announced between Lluvia, Viva Van, and All Elite Wrestling’s Willow Nightingale to crown a new champion on Saturday night.

Tonight at FantasticaMania in San Joe, California, Willow Nightingale captured the CMLL Women’s World Championship for the first time.

The finish saw Nightingale hit Viva Van with The Babe with the Powerbomb to score the pinfall victory.

It’s unknown if Nightingale will defend the championship on AEW programming in the future or if this will specifically take place in CMLL.
