Tommy Dreamer is the Innovator of Violence. It looks like Willow Nightingale is now the Innovator of Excitement.
Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a triple-threat match between Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander and Toni Storm. During the match, Statlander reversed an Irish whip and attempted a backdrop, but Storm held on and attempted a sunset flip roll-up. Willow ran over and hooked Storm’s legs before slingshotting her face-first into Statlander’s crotch.
Willow pumped her arms and took a bow to acknowledge the applause. However, she had more to say on Twitter after the match, including her revealing the name of the move.
“I call this Nissan,” Willow Nightingale replied on Twitter.
Why is it Nissan, you might ask? Willow had a good answer, borrowing the slogan from the Japanese automobile manufacturer.
Kris Statlander went on to win the match, which granted her the #1 overall entry spot in next week’s Women’s Casino Gauntlet match. The winner of that match will earn a title shot for the AEW Women’s Championship at AEW Grand Slam: Australia on February 15.
