Wizards Beyond Waverly Place just got some big news! Disney just announced that that the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series has been picked up for a second season at Disney Channel and Disney+. Original series stars David Henrie and Selena Gomez serve as executive producers, with David also starring and Selena making guest appearances. Keep reading to find out more… “I’m overwhelmed by all the love for the series and ready to keep serving this new generation of ‘Wizards’ fans with more Russo magic, while continuing to deliver a big warm hug to the original fan!” David shared in a statement. “So many surprises in store for this second season. It’s going to be big, so stay tuned!” Also starring in the series include Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora and Mimi Gianopulos. Season one also saw David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera reprising their roles as Jerry and Theresa Russo. Season two is set to start production next month in Los Angeles!
