The Women’s Royal Rumble match kicked off the 2024 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. While the match was filled with a lot of excitement as it went on it didn’t exactly end when it was planned and went longer than expected.
The Women’s Rumble featured its fair share of surprises as expected. The first big surprise came early in the match when Naomi returned to the company. Another big surprise was the appearance of TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace who entered the match at number five.
Naomi put on an impressive performance that lasted over an hour. Jade Cargill also made her in-ring debut and got massive pop from the crowd as she collided with and eliminated Nia Jax. The match came down Liv Morgan and Bayley. Bayley ended up winning the match by eliminating Morgan.
Fightful Select is now reporting that the women’s Royal Rumble match was listed internally for 55 minutes but went on for 65 minutes making it the second-longest women’s Royal Rumble ever following 2019 which lasted 72 minutes.
