In essence, in the event of work stoppage due to pregnancy, players will be compensated for 90 days with their salary fully paid. Concerning maternity leave, lasting 16 weeks, the clubs will cover the salary up to 15,500 euros monthly, in addition to daily allowances. The total compensation period is nine months.

“These measures were eagerly awaited by the players. They will be able to benefit from it from next season. I am very proud of this progress in building a new status for professional football players”rejoiced Laurent Nicollin, president of Foot Unis and Montpellier.
