IMG Credit: WWEThat’s a long time. Injuries can destroy any wrestler’s career out of nowhere as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf out of nowhere. Something that can seem completely fine can result in someone being out of action for a very long time. Unfortunately that was the case earlier this year and now it might be even longer before we see them back in action.

Earlier this year, Rhea Ripley suffered a shoulder injury during a backstage segment with Liv Morgan, resulting in Ripley being forced to vacate her WWE Women’s World Title. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ripley is currently attempting to rehab her injury to avoid surgery. Should rehab not work, Ripley could be forced to undergo surgery and it is not clear how long she would be out of action. She is not expected to be back in time for Summerslam on August 3, but if she recovers faster or is needed for a storyline, she could return faster.
Ripley is a star. Check out what she can do when she is around:
Opinion: Well, that could be worse as anything involving avoiding surgery is a step up over what else could be going on. For now though, Ripley is likely going to be out of action for a long time, which is terrible to see as she is one of the biggest stars in WWE. Hopefully her star power is still there when she gets back, as that is one of the hardest things in the world for a wrestler to have.
What do you think of Ripley? What should she do when she returns to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
