It can be a big deal when one of them goes away for a bit as they are able to slip underneath the radar. That can set up a big return down the line, which can be made more interesting if they left for some kind of an issue. Now we might be getting ready for a return after quite the departure.

Last August, Jack Perry was suspended from AEW over his comments at All In, which led to a backstage fight with CM Punk. Perry has not yet returned to AEW though he has been wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Perry is still under contract to AEW despite wrestling exclusively in New Japan in recent months. Perry is said to have been sent home after All In and tried to apologize to AEW President Tony Khan but was unable to reach him. He finally did get through to Khan and the two spoke, with Perry apologizing. Perry is expected to eventually return to AEW TV.

Opinion: This is one of those things that makes sense as it would be hard to believe that Perry was just randomly working for New Japan without still working for AEW. Now we get to see what will happen with Perry going forward, whenever he comes back to AEW TV. Given that he has almost been gone for eight months now, it would seem likely that he’ll be back soon.
