IMG Credit: WWEIt’s under review. Injuries can come out of nowhere in wrestling, but they are even more complicated than anything in other sports. With wrestling, there is always the chance that an injury is part of a storyline, which could take things in a completely different direction. Hopefully that is what we are seeing now, as a top WWE Superstar is out of action with a health issue.

Last weekend at WWE King And Queen Of The Ring, Gunther defeated Randy Orton in the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament. During the match, Gunther attacked Orton’s previously injured knee, which helped lead to Orton’s defeat. This week on SmackDown, it was revealed the damage to Orton’s knee was being examined and it was not clear when he will be able to return to the ring. It is not clear if this is a legitimate injury or part of the storyline.
Orton has been a force since his return to WWE. Check out some of his recent efforts:
Opinion: This doesn’t surprise me as it likely leading to a heck of a return with a healthy Orton getting another crack at Gunther. While I’m not sure Orton would win a rematch, their first match was certainly close enough that it warrants another try. If nothing else, Gunther getting a second fall over an all time legend like Orton would do him even more good and that might be what we are seeing.
