Zinedine Zidane has been out of work since 2021 when he left Real Madrid but the Frenchman has ruled himself out of taking charge of Manchester United.

Zidane has been linked with a move to Man United to replace Erik ten Hag but following the club’s decision to show faith in the Dutch manager this summer, the current manager is safe at Old Trafford.

Things can change quickly in football though, with Man United’s two defeats raising questions about the manager and his tactics again.

Zidane is considered one of the best managers in world football at the moment, having guided Real Madrid to three Champions League and two La Liga titles.

He is one of the most sought after managers in world football but the iconic Frenchman has expressed his desire of not managing in the Premier League due to a language barrier.

He told L’Equipe, as quoted by the Daily Mail, that despite his understanding of the English language, he is not fluent in it.

He said:

‘Would I want to go to Manchester [United]? I understand English, but I’m not completely fluent in it. I know that there are coaches who go to clubs without speaking the language, but I work in a different way.

The Frenchman has set the standards high in his career, as a player as well as a manager.

His success with Real Madrid has been exemplary with the Frenchman not only making them the best team in Spain but also in the world.
