This seems like an amazing sign!
King Charles III‘s trip to Australia went SO well, he’s ready to add even more travel to his upcoming schedule — despite his ongoing cancer battle. Whoa! A Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed this to Hello! on Saturday, revealing:
“We’re now working on a pretty normal-looking full overseas tour program for next year, which is a high point for us, knowing that we can think in those terms.”
Great news!
It’s tradition for royal visits to occur in the spring and fall, according to the outlet, so that seems to be when Charles’ travel would take place. That said, the visits will only occur if his doctors approve the travel at the time. The fact his staff are planning a “full” tour says a lot, though! His team must be really confident about his progress!

This comes after the 75-year-old and his wife Queen Camilla traveled to Australia and Samoa for a 10-day visit earlier this month, which the King “genuinely loved.” Not only did it lift “his spirits [and] his mood” but he thinks it helped “his recovery.” While “the demands” of the (somewhat controversial) tour were a lot, it was “the perfect tonic” for the father of two and showed just how determined he is to continue working like normal despite his health condition. The insider shared:
“I think it’s a great testament to the King’s devotion to service and duty that he was prepared to come this far. He was incredibly happy and very, very determined to do so.”
Love to hear it! Having plans to look forward to can go a long way in a cancer battle!
As we previously reported, Charles paused his cancer treatments for the visit, something his doctors were happy to do. While he was kept busy, his team arranged engagements in a way that would be considerate of his health. Between him and his wife, they took part in about 10 activities a day. He was not able to make it to New Zealand during the same trip due to guidance from his medical team. This comes after he was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February after undergoing a routine prostate procedure.
He may not be out of the woods yet, but it’s such a positive sign that his team feels confident that they can start booking him for more extensive travel in the coming months! We’re wishing him continued health and strength as he fights this disease!
