That’s next. It can be an important deal when a top level star leaves WWE. Not only does WWE lose a prominent name, but it opens up the door of where they will be going next. That can make for some interesting situations as fans will be wondering where someone will be showing up. We are seeing that happen again, and now we have a better idea of what to expect in both the short and long term.

Last week, it was confirmed that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract has expired, meaning that he can sign anywhere he chooses. According to Ibou of WrestlePurists by way of Cagesideseats.com, Lashley will wind up in AEW but “will make pitstops in Bloodsport and Japan.” There is no word on where Lashley could wrestle in Japan, or if he will be wrestling for these promotions during his time in AEW. It is also not clear when Lashley could make his AEW debut.

That would be big. Check out what could be coming to AEW:

Opinion: Lashley to AEW would certainly be a big deal and I could go for seeing it take place. AEW has quite the roster but they do not have many stars who are of Lashley’s size. He is still an outstanding athlete and he has the resume to back it up. That is something AEW, or any promotion for that matter, could use and now it seems like multiple promotions will be getting a chance.

What do you think of Lashley to AEW? How should he be brought in? Let us know in the comments below.
