Those are the people who help put the shows together in one way or another, which can make for some interesting situations. Some of those people are former wrestlers and now a wrestler is getting a spot backstage in WWE.

According to Bodyslam.net, independent wrestler Patrick Scott has been signed as a writer’s assistant on SmackDown, starting earlier this week. Scott posted a tweet saying he would have more to say on it later and thanking everyone. Scott trained to wrestle in the Carolinas and began his in-ring career in 2016. He wrestled as an enhancement talent on NXT in 2017.
