Sami Zayn will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Kevin Owens attacked Zayn and hit him with a piledriver on the February 3rd episode of WWE RAW. In doing so, he injured Zayn’s neck and briefly put him on the shelf. Zayn then returned and made it clear that he wanted to face Owens at WWE Elimination Chamber. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce said that Zayn wasn’t cleared to compete, but he agreed to book the two foes in an Unsanctioned Match.

At WWE Elimination Chamber, Owens beat Zayn in a brutal match that saw Owens hit Zayn with multiple apron powerbombs. Owens went to attack Zayn after the bell, but Randy Orton made the save.

On the March 3rd episode of WWE RAW, Michael Cole announced that Sami Zayn would be out indefinitely, as he re-aggravated his neck injury, the nerve issues, and the spinal issues due to the damage that Kevin Owens did.
