Nia Jax defended the gold at WWE Bad Blood.

At WWE Bad Blood, Nia Jax defended the WWE Women’s Championship. The match marked a rematch from WWE SummerSlam. There, Jax beat Bayley to win the title. Bayley earned a title shot by beating Naomi in a Number One Contender’s Match.

Jax controlled the action early on and overpowered Bayley. She grounded the challenger and maintained the advantage. Bayley rallied and sent Jax to the outside. She kept rolling with a baseball slide dropkick and a dive to the outside. Jax gained the upper hand. She crushed Bayley with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bayley rallied again, but Jax fell on top of her.

Bayley got a two-count with a diving elbow. Jax rocked Bayley with a thunderous blow and slammed her onto the steel steps. She then slammed Bayley into the barricade. Jax got a two-count after a Samoan Drop. Bayley responded with a Samoan Drop of her own. Jax accidentally took out the referee, and Bayley hit the Rose Plant, but there was no referee to count the pin.

Tiffany Stratton ran in with her Money in the Bank briefcase and attacked Bayley. She handed the briefcase to the referee but took it back when Jax got up. Jax confronted her, and they argued. Bayley drove Jax into Stratton and rolled her up for a near fall. Stratton’s presence wound up costing Bayley, as Jax hit the challenger with a Samoan Drop and the Annihilator for the win while Stratton watched on at ringside. Jax then walked to the back by herself, clearly frustrated.
