WWE and AEW are closing up another week of high-paced action and there are certainly a lot of things that fans had to process over the week. Now, we have the live attendance numbers that both companies were able to pull in this week for their television shows.
WrestleTix recently compiled attendance figures for WWE and AEW television shows this week. Among the shows, Friday Night SmackDown had the highest ticket sales while AEW Dynamite had the lowest sales.
Monday Night RAW on January 15th took place at the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where they sold 6,123 tickets. AEW Dynamite took place in the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina and drew an audience of 2,220.
Friday Night SmackDown took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia and sold 12,009 tickets, making it the biggest winner this week. AEW Collision took place at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO where they sold 2,706 tickets for this week’s show.
This week’s RAW featured Seth Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal, where he ended up suffering an injury. SmackDown featured a lot of Roman Reigns ahead of his title match at the Royal Rumble on January 27th.
AEW brought in a solid episode of Dynamite and Collision thanks to a lot of good in-ring action, especially with Samoa Joe defending his AEW World Championship against HOOK on Dynamite.
Evidently, it comes as no surprise that WWE has once again demolished AEW when it came to live attendance figures.
